A Sample of Energy Saving Reports Dating from 1996

UK Average Commercial Building

  • BRE 1996 - Our first tests were back in 1996 where we commissioned the BRE to evaluate the Quattro Seal system. The air leakage recorded was a reduction of 53% which transposed into a potential 27% energy saving. The report can be viewed here.

Small Listed Office Building (Crown Estate)

  • Rickaby Thomson 2001 – reduced air leakage by a factor 47%. The report can be viewed here.

Prison Service

  • BRE 2004 – Tests carried out at Wymott Prison shows air leakage by a factor 80% and a potential 25% energy saving if good housekeeping applied. The report can be viewed here.

Social Housing (EEC & CERT) Tests

  • BRE 2005 - CERT Airoseal CO2 savings are higher than CERT Standard Draughtproofing CO2 savings by a factor of between 2.3 and 2.4. The report can be viewed here.

Listed Box Sash & Casement for English Heritage

  • Glasgow Caledonian University 2012 – Tests show a major reduction in air leakage on the box sash and total reduction on the casements as per the graphs and charts. The reports can be viewed here and here.

Typical School – North Yorkshire County Council

  • Stroma 2012 – Tests show a reduction in air leakage of 43%. The report can be viewed here.

University (Newcastle Student Accommodation)

  • Stroma 2016 – The reduction in air leakage equates to 49.5%, which has all been attributed to the freshly applied Quattro Seal. The report can be viewed here.
